Bare Root Roses — Order by Oct 31st for Winter Planting

Guarantee & Returns

Our One-Year Plant Guarantee

Our commitment doesn’t end at delivery. We stand behind every plant we ship — for a full year from arrival.

The Promise

If a plant fails to thrive, we'll make it right.

If a plant you purchase from Cloverdale fails to thrive within one year of delivery, we will replace it free of charge. In the case that the same variety is no longer available, we will issue a full refund.

We grow and curate from a small group of trusted partners, and we only ship plants we’d be proud to put in our own garden. If something doesn’t live up to that, we want to make it right.

How to Submit a Claim

A simple email is all it takes.

To file a claim under our guarantee, email christine@growcloverdale.com with the following:

  • Your order number or the name on the order
  • The variety in question
  • A clear photo of the plant (a few angles is even better)
  • A short note about how it was planted and cared for

We respond quickly and will walk you through next steps for replacement or refund.

What's Covered

The fine print, kept plain.

Our guarantee covers plants that fail to thrive when planted in suitable conditions and given reasonable care. That includes plants that arrive damaged, don’t break dormancy in their first season, or decline despite good growing conditions.

A few things outside the guarantee:

  • Damage from extreme weather events (hard freeze, hail, flooding, drought)
  • Animal damage (deer, voles, rabbits, gophers)
  • Plants installed in conditions clearly unsuited to the variety (wrong zone, deep shade for a sun lover, etc.)
  • Plants that have been moved or divided within the first season
  • Common rose conditions: blackspot, powdery mildew, and pests are natural challenges that gardeners address through proper care and treatment

We pair every order with care guidance, and we’re always glad to answer growing questions before things go sideways.

Damaged or Wrong Order

Tell us within 7 days of arrival.

If your order arrives damaged in transit, or you receive the wrong variety, email christine@growcloverdale.com within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We’ll send a replacement or issue a refund, whichever you prefer.
